The saving grace here is that there is a thing in legal circles known as the “dual sovereignty doctrine”, which considers State and Federal governments as separate entities with the authority to prosecute the same crime—presupposing they both have existing statutes that cover said activity. The Double Jeopardy clause of the Fifth Amendment only prohibits a person from being tried twice by the same sovereign, for the same offense. This principle was upheld by a 7-2 SCOTUS decision in Gamble v. United States (2019).
So while it may be (D)ifferent in Minnesota, a (F)ederal Prosecutor can give him a big (F)U. You can be certain that Pam Bondi’s phone is ringing incessantly about now.

Today was the annual springtime plumbing day. With an extensive above ground PVC plumbing network, periodic repairs are a necessity. This encompasses addressing freezing issues as well as upgrading for better functionality. Most of todays effort was to replace the line at the eastern edge of the garden. That line also feeds the southern edge and a simple garden hose has been temporarily bridging that gap since the previous piping froze and split.
Being the pack rat that I am, I utilized the pvc piping that I attempted to cover the pool with this past winter. That effort failed miserably so was glad to repurpose that piping where I know it will make things easier.
Luckily, I had many apprentices assisting me today.
Any time I bring the work cart into their run the chicks get excited and swarm all over everything I am doing out there. It gets to the point that there are so many clustered around, when it is time to leave I need to crouch down and make sure I won’t drive over any hiding underneath. They also like to stowaway in a cubby under the work deck in back and I’ve driven back to the garage to find them hiding under there.
Anyway, from our single outside water faucet located just off the back porch, I’ve expanded water access to reach all the essential areas of our operations with 27 faucet/access points distributed where needed.
Yes, CLEARLY. By being elected by a majority, and facilitating the exact ideas he campaigned on, while being continually accused of implementing a dictatorship and ending democracy, he is “facilitating authoritarianism”.

1/20/2025 Now down to the final couple of hours and the lights are still on so that’s a good sign. They may still try to “take him out”, as some are speculating but I believe most have awakened, and any attempt at this point would only only provoke widespread unrest that would cripple everything nationwide and would actually be the threat to democracy that they so often projected and warned us about.
Of course, they don’t care so let’s pray we get through this.
The final hour blanket “get out of jail” cards being issued to all the bad actors are disconcerting, but in the end, they really matter not. Those folks will STILL face severe consequences and I look forward to them admitting their roles.
However, the gaslighting about their actions has almost petered out.

About all that needs to occur to begin healing as a nation is for the rest to acknowledge the reality of the past several years.

In his farewell address yesterday, Biden continued his delusion that his administration was one of the most successful presidencies ever, but nearly every point he raised in the speech had already been thoroughly debunked or exposed as misinformation. The jobs/crime reports were again cited after being repeatedly exposed every month when the initially underreported data was later always quietly corrected a few months later.
This administration is terrified that a Trump/Bondi DOJ might behave precisely like the Biden/Garland goon squad has. There were repeated assertions that the DOJ has been free from political partisanship for the past four years. These people don’t need staffers and interns, they need fulltime supervision by mental healthcare professionals.”
And this is why we will NEVER see Biden make any public appearance. Can you imagine his reception at a major sporting event like his opponent has received every time he’s made an appearance? Throughout the campaign, he only appeared when every aspect of the appearance (include the reception) could be 100% controlled with numerous paid activists bussed around the country to swell his numbers – and that didn’t even work with tiny events held in sparse HS gyms with all of the actors shoved together into a corner for the right full-crowd shot. No one was fooled then and no one is fooled now.
Hopefully, that address was the last thing we will ever have to hear from him. I’d personally prefer HE face justice, but will settle for him leaving office in complete disgrace and totally irrelevant from here on. Having HIM realize that would be icing on the cake, but that’s likely a bridge too far for someone who is likely heading directly to a memory care senior center setting.
1/1/2025 Happy New Year!!!! As I shared here back in October leading up to the election, the need for this thread has pretty much been vaporized. As expected, they tried all of their tricks, threats and projections to sway the voters and they were widely rejected.
To explain how we finally arrived back in reality, this post by Victor Davis Hanson lays it out pretty clearly. If you might still be confused on how we arrived here, I’d recommend a review:

11/1/2024 Silly me. Here I thought their ship was sunk and they’d start reporting the truth, in fear of being imprisoned since we are all Nazi’s, you know. But, it’s been hit after hit all week long. What’s truly amazing is that I’ve been saying for months that each time they try these stunts, they only manage to increase Trumps lead. But, just like clockwork, they keep doubling down on stupid and just hand the election over to their opponent.
We’ll start off with the Rogan/Vance discussion. I won’t call it an interview because they never are. Instead, we get a frank dialog on a number of subjects – some good, some bad, but clearly superior to getting the days talking points recited to you in a salad bowl. It’s a far better way to really get to know the candidate. It’s too bad for Kamala they never figured that out.
Anyway, if you remember my post about the media back in February, that was when they started to warn us to not trust our own eyes and ears but instead allow THEM to tell us what we saw and heard. Apparently, they haven’t learned anything either as they are still at it.
Moving on, we got multiple rapid-fire examples of their delusion. And with each case, Trumps lead increased. Instead of reinventing the wheel, I’ll plagiarize myself and reuse a post I made to a news site earlier to summarize it all.
Leftists completely lack any comprehension skills and the only way to make a point is to misquote or outright lie. This “violent rhetoric” wailing can be filed under the same as the “Bloodbath”, “never vote again”, “garbage can” or the recent “women – like it or not” comments. Once the whole statement (beyond The View, Kimmel or Maddow version) is revealed , their argument crashes and only serves to improves his lead.
“Inject bleach” “Suckers and losers” “Bloodbath” “The last time you’ll ever need to vote” Project2025 Nazi’s in the boat parade protecting women, like it or not (from what we wonder?) executing Liz Cheney (this would be the 1st execution where the victim is also armed) [this list is endless]
Also, add the recent “Garbage-Gate”, started by a comedian referencing PRs documented issue dealing with garbage. So he was talking about the island – not the people. Either way, Biden then came out and specifically called Trump supporters garbage – which of course they deny now, despite the video that refuses to die thanks to Trumps brilliant garbage truck idea. And their fallback is to reference Trumps “America is a garbage can” speech where he said we were becoming the worlds dumping ground for criminals, but of course they leave that part out.
Every time they try, they are easily exposed (to those who have opened their eyes), and then always revert back to their Nazi claims with fears of what he WILL do – without offering a shred of evidence.

Ever since Elon Musk got involved, suddenly, the Democrats lost control of the social media platform which had become a primary driver of news. The poor dears haven’t been taking it well at all. Because they rely so much on false narratives and the suppression of information, the Democrats freak right out if they lose even the tiniest bit of control. Hence, the dumbing down of content that the TDS-induced faithfully gulp down as fast as they can spit it out.

9/25/2024 There are numerous examples of this daily, but I realize most of the MSM covers it up so the ignorant among us remain unaware.
It’s very convenient for them to be the ones providing the misinformation, while also clamping down and censoring anything THEY deem to be misinformation – simply because it is inconvenient or contradicts their cause.
As all of commenters are reminding them, there was never a debate scheduled for Trump and Harris on ABC. That scheduled debate was for Trump and Biden. Of course now, they can frame it as Trump chickening out.
Actually, I wonder if this was a set up. The DEI selected candidate was never going to follow through as was scheduled with Biden anyway. Now that Trump proposed an alternative, they of course use it to state that he is chickening out. Imagine their frenzy if he says, “OK, you won’t renegotiate which is entirely expected being you aren’t who I agreed to debate… But OK, let’s go with it. See you on ABC as scheduled”. She is such an idiot, I imagine Trump would have no problem dissecting her – even on ABC. Whaddaya supposed their excuse will be then?

Just like the “bloodbath” comment of a few months ago, this is another deceptive omission of the context of the statement. Directly before these comments, he clearly stated it was directed a some Christian (and NRA members) who typically never vote at all. By saying if they vote this time, the electoral fraud could finally be overcome and then addressed to never skew elections again. Watch the speech beginning at the 30 minute mark.
This is a really good synopsis on how the MSM have lost the trust of the people, as well as the residual repercussions that eventually elevated Trump to the White House once again for a second term.

We all know some who took similar elitist positions, promoting their own warped views, while continually berating any opposing voices. To sum it up, how is that working out for them?
All that is left for those now left behind and ignored, is to continually drum up more angst within their echo chambers (BlueSky) and occasionally organize another event (for the people) that is universally ignored by most everyone.
Now, we see calls for a General Strike. Let’s see, that effort (started in 2022) requires over 10 million signees before they launch their devastating attack to cripple the administration. To date, they’ve gathered a total of about 324k. The problem is, they need about 250k each month to reach their goal before this administration has completed its term. At the rate they are now building support (9k/mo), they’ll finally reach that goal in 1150 years!
There have also been numerous (and humorous) other protests and boycotts, they claim has widespread support but is just the same few dozen loud voices, repeating the same unsubstantiated rants that have been falling on deaf ears for many months now.
One thing I do admire about these folks is their tenacity – as well as completely ignoring factual news reports that contradicts their argument by simply refusing to acknowledge them. Even though they state that they will acknowledge being wrong in the future when they’ve utterly failed to do so so often in the past.

It gets busy at sunrise. Luckily, it’s only for a half hour or so AND it is entirely of our own design by spoiling our critters with gourmet feasts to no end.
Most “chicken folk”, throw the days ration of store-bought generic feed on the ground as they let the birds out of their coops. For us?
Prepare chicken feed:
In a large bowl, add 7 scoops of organic/non-GMO feed.
Add 3 hard boiled eggs and any eggshells used the previous day.
Add a heaping tablespoon of cream cheese and or cottage cheese/yogurt.
Add 8 good shakes of cayenne pepper (organic of course – as all ingredients are).
Add 8 good shakes of oregano.
Add 6 good shakes of garlic powder.
Using a potato masher, grind up and mix thoroughly all ingredients.
Set bowl aside.
Prepare feral cat breakfast:
In a bowl, add scoop of cat kibble.
Mix in about 1/3 of a can of mackerel/salmon or tuna.
Sometimes, we’ll crumble in some stale white bread or buns.
Head out to the barn with both bowls. I first ring a cowbell as I walk out the back door to summon the cats and announce breakfast. I’ll typically feed the cats first so they stay out of the way while addressing the chickens. (The ferals also get another helping of the same at closing (coop) time, which is sundown).
Returning to the counter outside the front coop, for the chickens, I’ll scoop 3 cups of the feed mix into each of the 2 larger feeders, which are 4″ pvc pipe cut in half lengthwise to make 2 trays. Lacking protection from the elements, these go in the back chicken run/barnyard that is protected by the barn lean to roof.
As I venture to the back with the trays, this is when I’ll know if there is something in the live-trap I set out there (with peanut butter bait) overnight. More days than not this week, I’ve either trapped another possum or more often another skunk. If it’s a possum, I throw a towel over the trap and carry it to the back of the barnyard by the big gate. These are turned over to a local trapper who is releasing them at his farm, since he claims their numbers are way down (you could have fooled me). If I can’t reach him, I’ll release them in the National Forest up the road about 5 miles. However, if it is another skunk, they are humanely dispatched and I drag the trap over to the gate. Later, I’ll dump their carcass in the opposite corner of our property and the coyotes typically haul them away within a day or 2.
With that out of the way, once I place the trays in their holders, I fling open the barn door and the chickens rush out to feast.
Then, I’ll return to the front and scoop out 2 more cups of feed into each of 3 more trays (2″ pipe). 2 go into holders in the front chicken run. Depending on the weather, I’ll put on the “roofs” to these if needed. Then, I open the front coop door and that flock rushes out. Some instantly go directly to those feeders. Others rush to the back to eat out of the bigger ones with no roof, and a surprising number of them skip the feeders altogether and go out into the barnyard to find worms and bugs in the morning dew.
The 3rd tray goes in the middle chicken run, outside the infirmary and middle coop, which we call the battered hens shelter. This also gets a roof if needed.
With everyone in the barn now fed, I’ll check all the water stations and top off as needed. The chickens will get a 2nd helping as I replenish the trays from the remainder in the bowl around noon – usually 6 or so more scoops.
Meanwhile, the dogs are watching my every move in the morning because they know they are next. As I return to the house, they excitedly run to the front door for they know I’ll be coming out the front to retrieve their dishes from the porch. Once I do, they sit patiently at the door and will whine if I close it as they like to watch me prepare it. To pacify them during this, I give them each a pro-biotic chewy to munch on.
Prepare dog(s) food:
In each bowl, add 1 tbsp of coconut oil.
Add about 2 cups of veggies. These are the store-bought frozen variety and is typically a mix of carrots, squash, beans, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower etc.
Add a large tbsp of cottage cheese or yogurt.
One tbsp of raw ground meat. This is purchased from a local butcher shop and is labelled as “pet nutrition – not for human consumption” and is either ground chicken, pork or beef.
I’ll also conceal a omega-3 fish oil capsule inside the glob of meat.
Add 4 or 5 chunks of organ meat. We started with partially cooked beef liver but now prefer beef hearts since the liver is where toxins are filtered out. We’ve also used beef tongues when that is all that is available.
Add 1 raw chicken wing, purchased frozen in a big 10 lb bag.
Add 7 shakes of apple cider vinegar (about 1/4 cup).
Add a cup of 2 of “organ juice” from when we thawed/partially cooked the organ from step 6 or will use organic beef broth when that’s all we have.
The final topping is a sprinkle of frozen blueberries.
I’ll set their bowls down on the front porch and they both eagerly “wolf” them down. They both save the chicken wings until the end and will carry them off to their favorite places to munch and enjoy. In the evening (sundown), they simply get kibble – which is also their treat/reward during the day for frisbee time or other activities. They are very easy to bribe!
Prepare Luther’s food.
Luther is our remaining domestic cat who resides on the front porch, when he’s not out hunting. As I let the dogs out to pee at 5am, he is already there on his perch by the door whining for food, as his dish is often raided overnight by the ferals and is always empty by morning. So I will scoop him some kibble until I get some coffee in me. However, when I feed the dogs, he is ready for more but not more kibble. Instead, he gets a simple delicacy that is easy to prepare. In a small dish, he gets about a teaspoon of fresh tuna bathed in a good portion of hot water. He sips the water mostly but sometimes will eat the tuna as well.
Then, around 4 in the afternoon, the chickens get their “treats”, which is chopped lettuce/cabbage, a little more cottage cheese and then filled out with scratch grains. These are tossed around the barnyard while trying not to step on the crazy hens clamoring at my feet.
That’s it. That’s my morning. What do I eat? Who has time for that? No wonder I am getting so skinny 😉
My transformation is nearly complete! It only took a little over 2 years, but I think this pretty much closes out the old version of me. I’m still a little sad about it but with limited resources and ever increasing demands, it was time to say goodbye to my girlfriend of the past 9 years. Being the classless pig that I am, I ditched my 19 year old sweetheart for an experienced 39 year old farm girl.
Although, I’d love to keep the car to drive the twisting, winding and hilly roads around here, but I just don’t have the time or dollars to keep up on all of the maintenance needed for a nearly 20 year old classic. It was maddening that although it always starts, runs, and drives great, what caused me so much trouble were always the stupid Mercedes gadgetry, that may have been cool to someone (like me years ago) but just isn’t worth the constant effort to stay on top of keeping it all working as it should, when the only remedy turns out to be hauling it to the dealer for another thousand dollar repair. I’ve survived this long on YouTube videos and some creative ingenuity to win a few battles, but unlike an unnamed eastern Europe dictator, it became obvious to me that I was losing the overall war without the funding to keep that battle going indefinitely.
This actually came out of the blue and wasn’t at all expected right now. I had listed the car for sale as recently as last June for $14k – not really expecting any action but just to test the waters. In that ad from June, I mentioned possible trades for farm equipment since my only options now are a zero-turn mower, a few small trailers and an extremely overworked golf cart that simply refuses to fail.
At that time, I only got a few scammer responses, as well as a young, single mother who wanted a sweet looking ride as her “daily driver”. I felt I had to respectfully decline her offer, stating that this wasn’t the car for her situation.
Well, whaddaya know? Out of the blue came a FB message from a dealer in Arkansas that was interested in a trade. I asked for details of what he was offering and suddenly got very interested. Although, it seemed a bit small initially, researching the model (and learning what it can do), it seems to be an ideal fit for our needs.

After much research, this might be perfect for us. We have no real plowing needs. My primary concerns are tending to our field and moving spreading materials around without giving myself a hernia.
The loader will greatly ease the strain on my back hauling and spreading dirt and rock around the farmstead. We now desperately need about 4 truckloads of rock (they call it “chat” down here) to refresh the rutted driveway as well as add some new pathways to alleviate the mud issues we experience quite regularly.
The 60″ belly mower will address keeping our field tended initially (and save wear and tear on the 54″ zero-turn mower). Eventually, I’ll want to find a sickle mower, rake and small baler to provide us with enough hay for our operation as well as selling off the extra bales that are always in demand in this area.
This area of Missouri (Texas County) is very similar to Texas itself. There are no croplands within 50 miles and it is all cattle/goat/sheep/horse grazing lands.
The rear box blade will assist in keeping those paths and roadways from becoming motocross tracks and will also help spreading/distributing the rock/chat.
Before this fell into my lap, I was resigned to settling (we are Missouri settlers after all) for a much older/tired International Farmall or ancient Ford model in the sub $2k range that may or may not suit our needs but still requiring the much needed maintenance to keep it running. And, although this is nearly 40 years old, it has very low hours and has been well maintained. As a bonus, this model (series) has quite favorable reviews and has been holding its value quite well. Best of all, it was produced before John Deere transitioned to the dark side and is still very simple to work on without requiring hauling it to the dealer.
Down the road, besides the baling options previously mentioned, some other future attachments I’ll be looking for (mostly at auctions) include:
A backhoe. I have many digging projects on my radar.
Additional septic/lagoon system for future dwellings.
Accessing our current septic tank and drain fields.
Ongoing drainage issues.
Rainwater retention.
In ground greenhouse.
Creation of a water-retention pond w/possible fish farming.
Possible cultivator for our garden. Although, I bought a good/used rear-tine walk behind tiller last fall that will likely suit our needs in the garden as we still only plant about 1/2 of the available space until we improve on our canning expertise.
A grapple would greatly ease the strain on me clearing/cutting firewood.
An auger would enable us to more easily expand our fencing.
I thought about a snow blower but decided we just don’t see that kind of snow in southern Missouri. Just a few weeks ago, they assured us we’d get dumped on with 14-16″ inches forecasted and we ended up with 4 1/2″ – that completely melted within a few days. I just made a path with my truck and neither of us had any trouble at all. If we do get that much snow, everything would be shut down and there would be nowhere to go anyway – until it melts. And we have everything we need right here. We now have about 8 dozen eggs sitting on the counter, as well as nearly 2 dozen chicken dinners tearing up the ground out back.
As far as dollar values go, the tractor was a priced a bit high (for a 2wd version) but we don’t need 4wd and my car isn’t exactly flawless either as I can no longer keep up with its constant maladies. Adding to the problem was there is little market down here for such an extravagance so I’d continue to have trouble selling it off, while trying to keep it maintained and sellable.
If I use that $9k mark he was listing the tractor for, that means I am selling the car for over half what I paid 9 years ago, and in this market, that’s pretty good. CarMax offered a whopping $3100 and Carvana an insulting $1929 (I never understood how those businesses can convince sane people to sell to them for 1/3 the actual value). Edmunds True Value lists the private party sale value at around $6500. Kelly Bluebook has it up around $7200.
All in all, this will solve multiple problems as it gets me much better equipment than I was expecting for my farm duties, as well as no longer needing to fret about further issues with the car. Now, I can fret about issues with the tractor 😉 But, at least it is much easier to work on – once I get up to speed on the how/why/what/where of this new (39 year old) machine.
So, I’ve convinced myself it’s all good.
The final determination will become apparent in the coming months but I have to start somewhere.
We’ve all heard these well timed reports in the past by the MSM and government officials. Suddenly, everyone with a microphone in front of them all start repeating the same phrase ad nauseum. Often, there is a certain phrase to denote this action but not always. Similarly, a specific topic is pulled out of the air and they all mirror their coverage to attempt to reinforce that point.
Here is a fiery and energetic textbook example from our not too distant past:
I’ll register them here going forward and we’ll see how big the list gets. They seem to try a new tactic every week – and still haven’t caught on that no one is listening to them. Since, these stories usually always “break” on the weekends, I’ll use Mondays to try to predict the new theme.

Notice, how not a single one of them can offer a shred of proof? They just use their tried and true fear mongering and their obedient lemmings fall in line.
02/23/2025: Being still early on Sunday, I haven’t detected a particular phrase. But, it’s early and the Sunday news programs often kick off new campaign so we’ll wait and see. However, one thing I am noticing is everyone is alarmed that traditional “norms” are now being violated by the new administration.
Newsflash, inviting invaders to invade our nation isn’t a norm. Having male senate staffers having sex in the Senate hearing room and filming it is not a norm. Having your cross dressing nuclear energy official steal luggage from airports isn’t a norm. Telling mentally ill men and boys they can go into girls and women’s private facilities and subjugate us is not a norm. Teaching little girls they are boys and little boys they are girls is not a norm. Pushing letter people porn into k thru 12 schools is not a norm.
THE PRESS LAST YEAR: “Harrison Butker (a current NFL Pro Bowl kicker) needs to shut up on social issues, no one cares what an NFL kicker has to say!”, when speaking at a private Christian college and lifting up traditional family and Christian values – you know, what used to be called “NORMS”!
THE PRESS THIS YEAR: “Hey everyone! Here is a guy who is washed-up punter from over a decade ago – you NEED to hear him call Trump a Nazi!!!”
02/21/2025: Last weeks message was that there was a rift growing between Trump and “President” Musk. All were saying Musk had seized power and Trump was fuming. In actuality, Musk is advising the rightful president, who is making all of the decisions. Of course, all of it was quickly debunked with a side-by-side sit down interview soon after the reports were issued.
FINALLY, they get proof of the crashing bromance between Trump and Musk.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he’d like to see Musk “get more aggressive.” See that? He thinks Musk isn’t working hard enough! Liberal media, do your thing!
Moving on to their latest example from this week, is another story that they all seem to be echoing in unison. This latest charge now is Trump voter remorse.
In nearly every case cited, those supposedly regretting their vote voice their displeasure due to policies that were a major and often repeated point of his platform and was promoted throughout the campaign.
“When we said safer borders, I thought he was thinking, ‘let’s stop the drugs from coming into the country,’” Staci White, a 49-year-old from Omaha, Nebraska, told the paper. “I didn’t know he was going to start raiding places.”
Really? He literally has been promising for over a year that he would carry out “the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.”
Another voter claims she is “absolutely embarrassed” she voted for Trump because, among other things, his focus on deportations.Another mentioned Trump’s tariff threats against Mexico and Canada.
Again a major part of his platform. Again, are we really supposed to believe these Trump voters were blinded by Trump following through on his long-established campaign promises? Not only was Trump talking about imposing reciprocal tariffs on other countries throughout his campaign, but Trump’s tariff threats literally achieved exactly what Trump wanted.
Over on Fox News Channel, Jessica Tarlov claimed that a (unnamed of course) 20-year-old college student from the Midwest and a conservative, pro-Trump family found himself turned off by the “chaos” of the Trump administration—I’m not sure what the chaos is, exactly—and Trump’s tariffs on China, as if he didn’t campaign on that very issue.
So now, there is a groundswell of disillusioned and regretful Trump voters that are distraught over him doing exactly what he promised all along?
This entire narrative of regretful Trump voters feels like a yet another coordinated psyop designed to undermine his presidency . The media, desperate to manufacture the illusion of widespread buyer’s remorse, has trotted out a handful of supposedly disillusioned supporters who claim they had no idea Trump would actually follow through on his most well-known promises. Are we really supposed to believe that these voters—who backed a candidate famous for his tough stance on immigration, tariffs, and draining the swamp—are now suddenly shocked and appalled that he’s doing exactly what he said he would?
