Retired in God's country!

Changing Dance Partners

My transformation is nearly complete! It only took a little over 2 years, but I think this pretty much closes out the old version of me. I’m still a little sad about it but with limited resources and ever increasing demands, it was time to say goodbye to my girlfriend of the past 9 years. Being the classless pig that I am, I ditched my 19 year old sweetheart for an experienced 39 year old farm girl.

Although, I’d love to keep the car to drive the twisting, winding and hilly roads around here, but I just don’t have the time or dollars to keep up on all of the maintenance needed for a nearly 20 year old classic. It was maddening that although it always starts, runs, and drives great, what caused me so much trouble were always the stupid Mercedes gadgetry, that may have been cool to someone (like me years ago) but just isn’t worth the constant effort to stay on top of keeping it all working as it should, when the only remedy turns out to be hauling it to the dealer for another thousand dollar repair. I’ve survived this long on YouTube videos and some creative ingenuity to win a few battles, but unlike an unnamed eastern Europe dictator, it became obvious to me that I was losing the overall war without the funding to keep that battle going indefinitely.

This actually came out of the blue and wasn’t at all expected right now. I had listed the car for sale as recently as last June for $14k – not really expecting any action but just to test the waters. In that ad from June, I mentioned possible trades for farm equipment since my only options now are a zero-turn mower, a few small trailers and an extremely overworked golf cart that simply refuses to fail.

At that time, I only got a few scammer responses, as well as a young, single mother who wanted a sweet looking ride as her “daily driver”. I felt I had to respectfully decline her offer, stating that this wasn’t the car for her situation.

Well, whaddaya know? Out of the blue came a FB message from a dealer in Arkansas that was interested in a trade. I asked for details of what he was offering and suddenly got very interested. Although, it seemed a bit small initially, researching the model (and learning what it can do), it seems to be an ideal fit for our needs.

Here is his ad listing the tractor that we agreed on for even up swap.

(click on the ad for full details)

After much research, this might be perfect for us. We have no real plowing needs. My primary concerns are tending to our field and moving spreading materials around without giving myself a hernia.

The loader will greatly ease the strain on my back hauling and spreading dirt and rock around the farmstead. We now desperately need about 4 truckloads of rock (they call it “chat” down here) to refresh the rutted driveway as well as add some new pathways to alleviate the mud issues we experience quite regularly.

The 60″ belly mower will address keeping our field tended initially (and save wear and tear on the 54″ zero-turn mower). Eventually, I’ll want to find a sickle mower, rake and small baler to provide us with enough hay for our operation as well as selling off the extra bales that are always in demand in this area.

This area of Missouri (Texas County) is very similar to Texas itself. There are
no croplands within 50 miles and it is all cattle/goat/sheep/horse grazing lands.

The rear box blade will assist in keeping those paths and roadways from becoming motocross tracks and will also help spreading/distributing the rock/chat.

Before this fell into my lap, I was resigned to settling (we are Missouri settlers after all) for a much older/tired International Farmall or ancient Ford model in the sub $2k range that may or may not suit our needs but still requiring the much needed maintenance to keep it running. And, although this is nearly 40 years old, it has very low hours and has been well maintained. As a bonus, this model (series) has quite favorable reviews and has been holding its value quite well. Best of all, it was produced before John Deere transitioned to the dark side and is still very simple to work on without requiring hauling it to the dealer.

Down the road, besides the baling options previously mentioned, some other future attachments I’ll be looking for (mostly at auctions) include:

  • A backhoe. I have many digging projects on my radar.
    • Additional septic/lagoon system for future dwellings.
    • Accessing our current septic tank and drain fields.
    • Ongoing drainage issues.
    • Rainwater retention.
    • In ground greenhouse.
    • Creation of a water-retention pond w/possible fish farming.
  • Possible cultivator for our garden. Although, I bought a good/used rear-tine walk behind tiller last fall that will likely suit our needs in the garden as we still only plant about 1/2 of the available space until we improve on our canning expertise.
  • A grapple would greatly ease the strain on me clearing/cutting firewood.
  • An auger would enable us to more easily expand our fencing.
  • I thought about a snow blower but decided we just don’t see that kind of snow in southern Missouri. Just a few weeks ago, they assured us we’d get dumped on with 14-16″ inches forecasted and we ended up with 4 1/2″ – that completely melted within a few days. I just made a path with my truck and neither of us had any trouble at all. If we do get that much snow, everything would be shut down and there would be nowhere to go anyway – until it melts. And we have everything we need right here. We now have about 8 dozen eggs sitting on the counter, as well as nearly 2 dozen chicken dinners tearing up the ground out back.

As far as dollar values go, the tractor was a priced a bit high (for a 2wd version) but we don’t need 4wd and my car isn’t exactly flawless either as I can no longer keep up with its constant maladies. Adding to the problem was there is little market down here for such an extravagance so I’d continue to have trouble selling it off, while trying to keep it maintained and sellable.

If I use that $9k mark he was listing the tractor for, that means I am selling the car for over half what I paid 9 years ago, and in this market, that’s pretty good. CarMax offered a whopping $3100 and Carvana an insulting $1929 (I never understood how those businesses can convince sane people to sell to them for 1/3 the actual value). Edmunds True Value lists the private party sale value at around $6500. Kelly Bluebook has it up around $7200.

All in all, this will solve multiple problems as it gets me much better equipment than I was expecting for my farm duties, as well as no longer needing to fret about further issues with the car. Now, I can fret about issues with the tractor 😉 But, at least it is much easier to work on – once I get up to speed on the how/why/what/where of this new (39 year old) machine.

So, I’ve convinced myself it’s all good.

The final determination will become apparent in the coming months but I have to start somewhere.

The Phrase of the Week

We’ve all heard these well timed reports in the past by the MSM and government officials. Suddenly, everyone with a microphone in front of them all start repeating the same phrase ad nauseum. Often, there is a certain phrase to denote this action but not always. Similarly, a specific topic is pulled out of the air and they all mirror their coverage to attempt to reinforce that point.

Here is a fiery and energetic textbook example from our not too distant past:

I’ll register them here going forward and we’ll see how big the list gets. They seem to try a new tactic every week – and still haven’t caught on that no one is listening to them. Since, these stories usually always “break” on the weekends, I’ll use Mondays to try to predict the new theme.

3/4/2025:
Sorry, but have been busy prepping a car to be traded off. However, this one was just too easy to ignore so will let the clip speak for itself very redundantly.

Notice, how not a single one of them can offer a shred of proof? They just use their tried and true fear mongering and their obedient lemmings fall in line.

02/23/2025:
Being still early on Sunday, I haven’t detected a particular phrase. But, it’s early and the Sunday news programs often kick off new campaign so we’ll wait and see. However, one thing I am noticing is everyone is alarmed that traditional “norms” are now being violated by the new administration.

Newsflash, inviting invaders to invade our nation isn’t a norm. Having male senate staffers having sex in the Senate hearing room and filming it is not a norm. Having your cross dressing nuclear energy official steal luggage from airports isn’t a norm. Telling mentally ill men and boys they can go into girls and women’s private facilities and subjugate us is not a norm. Teaching little girls they are boys and little boys they are girls is not a norm. Pushing letter people porn into k thru 12 schools is not a norm.

THE PRESS LAST YEAR: “Harrison Butker (a current NFL Pro Bowl kicker) needs to shut up on social issues, no one cares what an NFL kicker has to say!”, when speaking at a private Christian college and lifting up traditional family and Christian values – you know, what used to be called “NORMS”!

THE PRESS THIS YEAR: “Hey everyone! Here is a guy who is washed-up punter from over a decade ago – you NEED to hear him call Trump a Nazi!!!”

02/21/2025:
Last weeks message was that there was a rift growing between Trump and “President” Musk. All were saying Musk had seized power and Trump was fuming. In actuality, Musk is advising the rightful president, who is making all of the decisions. Of course, all of it was quickly debunked with a side-by-side sit down interview soon after the reports were issued.

FINALLY, they get proof of the crashing bromance between Trump and Musk.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he’d like to see Musk “get more aggressive.”
See that? He thinks Musk isn’t working hard enough! Liberal media, do your thing!

Moving on to their latest example from this week, is another story that they all seem to be echoing in unison. This latest charge now is Trump voter remorse.

In nearly every case cited, those supposedly regretting their vote voice their displeasure due to policies that were a major and often repeated point of his platform and was promoted throughout the campaign.

“When we said safer borders, I thought he was thinking, ‘let’s stop the drugs from coming into the country,’” Staci White, a 49-year-old from Omaha, Nebraska, told the paper. “I didn’t know he was going to start raiding places.”

Really? He literally has been promising for over a year that he would carry out “the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.”

Another voter claims she is “absolutely embarrassed” she voted for Trump because, among other things, his focus on deportations. Another mentioned Trump’s tariff threats against Mexico and Canada.

Again a major part of his platform. Again, are we really supposed to believe these Trump voters were blinded by Trump following through on his long-established campaign promises? Not only was Trump talking about imposing reciprocal tariffs on other countries throughout his campaign, but Trump’s tariff threats literally achieved exactly what Trump wanted.

Over on Fox News Channel, Jessica Tarlov claimed that a (unnamed of course) 20-year-old college student from the Midwest and a conservative, pro-Trump family found himself turned off by the “chaos” of the Trump administration—I’m not sure what the chaos is, exactly—and Trump’s tariffs on China, as if he didn’t campaign on that very issue.

So now, there is a groundswell of disillusioned and regretful Trump voters that are distraught over him doing exactly what he promised all along?

This entire narrative of regretful Trump voters feels like a yet another coordinated psyop designed to undermine his presidency . The media, desperate to manufacture the illusion of widespread buyer’s remorse, has trotted out a handful of supposedly disillusioned supporters who claim they had no idea Trump would actually follow through on his most well-known promises. Are we really supposed to believe that these voters—who backed a candidate famous for his tough stance on immigration, tariffs, and draining the swamp—are now suddenly shocked and appalled that he’s doing exactly what he said he would?

Some examples in reverse chronological order:

  • Trump voter remorse
  • Trump/Musk feud
  • The purge
  • Constitutional crisis
  • Threat to Democracy
  • Firing squad
  • Bloodbath
  • Existential threat

Fleeing the Sinking Ship!

Full panic has set in amongst the Democrats as they realize they can’t stop the evil orange man from exposing their many shady dealings of the past several years, as all of the fraud, waste and corruption is being exposed to daylight.

The crooks are now attempting to hide their crimes as DC searches for BleachBit are surging this week.

Internet search trends in the Washington, DC, metro area have been stunning in recent weeks, reflecting what appears to be growing panic within the federal bureaucracy as President Trump and Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) root out corruption in non-governmental organizations (NGO) and federal agencies.

Earlier this week, internet search trends for “Criminal Defense Lawyer” and “RICO Laws” went viral on X, fueling speculation that Washington’s political elites were in panic mode. The searches coincided with DOGE’s efforts to neuter USAID’s funding of NGOs that propped up a shadow government, as well as begin cutting tens of thousands of workers from various federal agencies.

Another facet of this realization is the sudden glut of homes for sale in the DC area. With over 11k homes available in the area, it is sure to impact prices and that will give them something new to blame on Trump.

And then, we have the journalists. Whether it was because they thought Americans would reject him or that they believed the propaganda showing that Kamala Harris would win – some in the liberal media cannot tolerate enduring another four years of Donald J. Trump in the White House. One or two leaving for supposed greener pastures is one thing, but this?

Similarly, I’ve read of others who cannot deal with reality and are used to being able to silence others who may have a differing opinion. With those days very decidedly now over, they are now dropping their long standing social media accounts, where that reality is confronting them each and every day.

Their remedy? To return to the echo chambers (like Bluesky) that warped their perception of reality in the first place. Now in their safe spaces, they’ll need to plug their ears and cover their eyes (they’ll never shut their mouths), when they digest these numbers:

NEW Harvard-Harris Poll:

  • Trump approval: 52% (+9)
  • Trump disapproval: 43%
  • 58% say he is doing better than Biden
  • 81% support deporting criminal aliens
  • 76% support eliminating fraud, waste
  • 76% support closing the U.S. border
  • 70% support merit-based hiring
  • 61% support reciprocal tariffs
  • 60% think DOGE is helping

Instead, they’ll continue to wail about Hitler and further their projections about shredding the constitution – without any proof whatsoever. This is classic leftism in action. The left has perfected a strategy of making outrageous claims to stoke fear and outrage, counting on its audience’s emotional reaction to override critical thinking. It doesn’t need evidence – just apocalyptic rhetoric and a compliant media ecosystem to repeatedly amplify it.

That is no longer working as the polling reveals. Even though the left stammers about norms and highlights those impacted by the decisions being made, there is never any mention of the waste, fraud, abuse and corruption being brought into daylight, for all to see.

As Victor Davis Hanson recently wrote:

The left screams that those who are tasked with balancing a budget and pruning back a strangling bureaucracy are heartless.

No, the pitiless are those who recklessly sought to hire with borrowed money and fire people on the basis of their race, used federal programs to feather their own nests, and harassed and arrested those for their politics.

No SWAT teams are now raiding the homes of ex-presidents.

No one is trying to take a presidential rival off state ballots.

No one is coordinating local, state, and federal prosecutors to indict, harass, and bankrupt an ex-president.

And no president — his dementia sheathed by political insiders and a toadish media — is working three days a week, avoiding press conferences, or stonewalling reporters’ questions.

No wonder the current normal seems abnormal to the status quo of the recent past.

It will be a long hard struggle for them to return to reality but I’ll wish them well and continue to pray for their awakening.

Comings (x3) and Goings.

They KEEP coming! make that x4!

After trapping 3 of the beady eyed critters in the past 3 days, I’d say it is once again, Possum season. Just like last year, the first was bigger (probably mama) and those that follow are the smaller youngsters. I believe last year, we topped out at 8 or 9 so I’ll continue to set out the trap each evening until they are gone.

When we first noticed them (again), they were inside the coop in the barn but likely were just stealing eggs and didn’t mess with the birds. They can do much damage and decimate your flock,… if the conditions are right. But, they are opportunistic and typically won’t mess with adult birds during the day when they are awake and alert. If they were to get in the coop (or inadvertently locked in) after sundown, they will likely attack the sleeping birds on their perches. We are doing a better job of “sweeping” the barn at sundown now but there would still be plenty of places to hide and remain undetected so we’ll see how that goes.

Like the others, these are being released at a local trappers property so he can restore their numbers (which seem fine to me). But now, I am having second thoughts. The trapper told me that the very first one (that was shot last year), yielded about 12 ounces of “possum oil” that he is selling for $60/ounce!!!

Apparently, possum oil is a valuable commodity in antique firearm circles
(cap and ball, muskets, muzzle loaders), as a superior lubricant that doesn’t
break down over time as other oils do. So now, I am looking for YouTube videos
on rendering wild game. And from what I’ve seen, it’s not too difficult. Ka-CHING!

And on the “GOING” side of things

Today we lost one of our Cinnamon Queen auction hens. She’d been sick for a few weeks so it wasn’t too surprising. When I fed everyone this morning, she was still upright but had such a terrible posture that I knew her time had arrived. She didn’t move and ignored the food I brought to her in the infirmary. When I checked on them a few hours later, she was already on her side and stiff as…. a chicken in the supermarket. So, I prepared a fire in the burn barrel and she is “cooking” in there today as I write this.

She had long stopped producing eggs so it was just a matter of time before we had to decide to cull her anyway. So thank you Lillian, for saving us the trouble.

Update: 2/13/2025
Any suggestions dealing with that exotic skunk “fragrance” wafting in the air?

After waking the past 3 mornings to another possum captured in the live trap each day, I could tell today would be different before I even turned the corner to enter the chicken run. Sure enough, I managed to capture Pepe LePew. This is the 2nd time now. Like the previous time, this one took the “22” train to skunk heaven. I feel guilty dispatching a caged animal but what else can you do?

It had already released its “olfactorical delight” (likely when the trap sprung shut) but I wasn’t willing to be bathed in it to humanely let it out. Then, I dragged the trap to the far corner of the barnyard and will dispose of it in the woods later.

But for now, everything reeks. The chickens came out to eat but quickly ran back inside the coop so we moved their food inside for now. It’s also pretty cold (15 now, high of 30) so using the hose is out of question. We had to change our clothes so they could be thrown in the washer and am certain our noses are retaining some of it – but it’s much more intense outside the barn and wondering if there was a powder that could be applied to absorb the odor.

The area where the trap was located is gravel and was up against a pile of hay being stored under the lean to for Sherry’s goat farmer/friend. I think I’ll try to scoop out as much gravel as I can. But there won’t be much I can do if the hay got sprayed – other than insist they take it now, instead of later.

Clearly “In-cOpable”

The ‘flipped over in the ditch, wheels spinning in the air resistance car’ is having a tough time of it right now. Jamming the accelerator pedal to the floor is having no effect no matter how hard they try as their leg cramps up.

After getting too content with the ineffective, contradictory, comatose, and downright damaging policies of the past administration – all moving at a snails pace, while they funnel off billions of our tax dollars and spend half the week on the beach, they are now alarmed to see what true leadership actually looks like.

To put it simply for those still riding the short bus, this is EXACTLY what he campaigned on and was elected to do. And everyone outside of their ever-shrinking echo chamber, (the ones labelled “MAGA Extremists“), are ecstatic seeing he’s doing what he said he would do, at a stunning pace that is astounding to nearly everyone.

Maybe reading the responses to the post above will clear that up. But probably not so we’ll try a common-themed meme to get that critical point across.

With their power to pillage the treasury now stripped away, and finding there is very little they can do to resist the purge, they fall back on their tried and true virtue signal for more resistance by calling for a “General Strike”.

A far better alternative is to hit them where it hurts them personally—their income—which is why I think that those who are interested in protecting democracy should seriously consider participating in a GENERAL STRIKE. More ==>

I would welcome their attempts to implement such an action. Just to see it flame out, or better yet, to backfire spectacularly as the (many more) supporters of the new administration more than make up their absence, like they always have. Unfortunately, this effort, which began in 2022 has a goal of 11 million signing on before they strike and have only accumulated a little over 200k (.019%) to date.

Since it has taken 3 years to acquire that .019%, even if you pad it generously by estimating 100k/year, they’d only need a little over 100 years to pull it off. For any relevancy to hit their goal in the next 4 years they NEED about 2.7 million per year or about 225k per month.

Its looking like it’s yet another great idea from within their echo chamber that will wilt and die long before it ever sees the light of day.

It is totally unfathomable at this point that they STILL believe that they have any credibility and support, other than the constant shrieking and wailing seen in their video testimonials – that only draw more ridicule now that the covers are being removed, exposing the corruption that has become so embedded.

Their current hysteria:

  • They don’t care if trans people feel persecuted.
“Persecuted” because they can no longer prey on children, beat up women and deny their rights to fair competition, or invade women’s spaces and privacy in dressing and locker rooms?
    • 75 percent, of parents oppose teachers, counselors, school nurses, classroom aides, coaches or administration withholding information about a child’s gender identity from parents.
    • 80 percent of those surveyed said they oppose biological males, who identify as females, being allowed to participate on women’s/girls’ sports teams.
    • Many other significant and similar results of this polling (available here), illustrates this goes far beyond the MAGA Extremist cult that they claim.
  • They don’t care if immigrants are scared.
    • Recent polling has shown that as many as 64% support the mass deportation of undocumented illegal immigrants. Of course, that won’t stop the detractors from always inferring that ALL immigrants are in danger, but polling on immigration, as stated, overwhelmingly supports these actions so frankly, we don’t care.
  • The MAGA supporters are going so far as to distort Christianity in order to justify their Christian Nationalist agenda.
    • Like this new Lord’s Prayer distortion?
Our mother and our father, our beloved parent in who we move and breathe and have our being. The glorious hallowing of your name shines forth in the diversity of your children. May your peace and love, justice and equality, inclusion and belonging reign here on earth as in heaven. Build your kingdom in the hearts of all. Help us meet our daily needs. Be with those who suffer as a result of living as the fullest truth of your divine child. Grant that our transgender loved ones might have their daily needs met, That they might find employment without discrimination, That they may have access to medical care without fear, That they might have their rights and lives protected, That they might find a loving, safe community to belong to and call their own. Forgive us for the ways that we have fallen short and failed your beloved transgender children, as well as our many trespasses. Forgive us of the times we turned away or did not care, For the times we laughed or judged their unique expression of your image, Just as we forgive those who might have failed to see, hear, and understand us. Lead us away from the temptation to be complacent in the face of injustice But instead, give us the courage to stand up for and with your beloved children. Open our minds and our hearts to those who think, act, and experience life differently. Help us do our part to make your love and justice reign in our diverse, beautiful world, now and always.
      Amen

I don’t know what Christianity they were brought up in but that’s why there’s a doctrine of the sufficiency of scripture. It’s heresy to add to the timeless truths of scripture, especially to justify decadent lifestyles that ignore biblical teachings.

Then, we have another example that makes me ashamed I was once a member of the denomination. https://www.herchurch.org/, an ELCA congregation in the Sierra Pacific Synod practicing pagan rituals, where the pastor describes herself as a “Pastor & Priestess of Ritual” and claims that her “malestream theological education opened the door for her to build a Goddess-inclusive congregation and ministry. But wait, there’s more.

Meet Christine Konkol, the church’s “Resident Witch.” Her bio states:

As Priestess Witch for herchurch, Christine offers magical gifts to share and enhance the support and development of herchurch. The monthly astrological reading provides guidance from the stars and is a favorite among many. Together we honor the natural cycles of the year, the Solstices and Equinoxes, and thank the Earth for her bounty. Small group gatherings provide inspiration and direct our attention to instinct and intuition helping us to discover ways to connect to the divinity of nature and thereby the Divine”.

You may find a Bible or 2 there but they likely have already been burned on their sacrificial altar. And lastly, we’ll share the clearly undistorted views of this Dallas bastion of biblical purity.

Nothing to see here folks, just good ‘ol Christianity shining brightly.

Finding that their recent shaming ultimatum to friends and family has failed spectacularly (to either bend the knee to their craziness or be excommunicated), they cannot dare to consider that they might have been wrong about what they’ve been spewing for years.

This should be no surprise to any sane person. The warning signs are everywhere and is something to consider when trying to reason with the unreasonable.

The doctor raised alarm over what he describes as a “real crisis” within the Democratic Party following Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 election. According to the physician, the party is grappling with a deep identity and leadership crisis exacerbated by Trump’s triumph, leading to internal struggles and a loss of direction”.

Well, that’s been plainly obvious and highlights the challenges Democrats face as they navigate a changing political landscape, with their strategies and messaging increasingly under scrutiny with each new revelation.

According to Glenn Burnett, an internal doctor from Wyoming, Democrats are suffering from significant mental health concerns over Trump’s win. He said his patients are dealing with a wide range of issues, including insomnia, depression, grief, and genuine fear and panic.”

Burnett told political analyst Mark Halperin that many of his left-wing patients are facing serious mental health struggles following Trump’s monumental win.”

“We are dealing with depression, anxiety, all kinds of medical problems that are related to that,  like insomnia, chest pain, chest pressure,” he told Halprin. “And then people are that there’s some genuine fear, panic. When Biden was the president, I had some of this stuff from the other side, but it has been extremely intense now… after the election.”

He recommends that his patients disconnect from politics and the news cycle by turning off their computers and televisions. “The next thing I tell them to do is, if you have had an issue with your family and a lot of them have that, that is so much more important than Kamala Harris or Donald Trump,” he said, “and you need to begin to make amends,” Burnett said”.

Sorry to say, I can’t see those, who remain embedded in the swamp (as it’s rapidly being drained around them), having that capability or we would’ve seen signs of it months ago, as these revelations started flowing out into the open sunlight.

The doctor said he’d never seen such fractious behavior like this among families. That’s all on those who cannot accept, nor have the maturity to understand that they’re not entitled to win every election just because they feel they’re right, especially when history overwhelmingly has proven otherwise.

They seem unable to grasp what is happening. Sen John Fetterman knows that reconciliation might not be possible, given how his party has become hijacked by the loudmouth activist class, a cadre of wealthy, overly educated whites who take everything to eleven when it’s not necessary. It’s become so loud, so exclusionism, so illiberal, and insane that white and non-white workers are drifting away in droves. Everyone seems to realize this except TDS-induced diehard Democrats, who think they can continue to ignore the recent polling data showing the epic collapse across the board for Democrats.

From Democrat commentator and author Joe Klein:

Yes, friends, still crazy after all these years…and the encroaching dementia is not benign. Can this party be saved? I have my doubts. The intellectual corrosion is comprehensive; it is only matched by the self-righteous arrogance. But what’s the alternative? I’ve been through Dems in Disarray syndrome multiple times in the past: in 1972, in 1980, in 1988, in 2016…but, gotta say, this is the worst I’ve ever seen it. There is a vast cluelessness abroad in the party. Its prevailing vision of an America based on identity now resides in the outhouse.

Again, this goes far, far, FAR beyond the
MAGA Extremist cult that they claim.

Instead of learning from their failures and the unpopularity of their positions, the Democrats are now doubling down and claiming that the American people do not want they’ve said they want.

  • Americans want a clean slate on the budget.
  • They want those who stole or misdirected monies held accountable.
  • They want safe streets.
  • They want controlled borders, north and south.
  • They want less drugs in their neighborhoods.
  • They want energy that is reliable and inexpensive.
  • They want their schools to teach students to succeed and not to be lefty drones.
  • They want their kids to come home the same gender they were when they left in the morning.
  • They want their daughters to win their races and not have to compete against the guy with the goatee and jockstrap.
  • They want their wives and daughters to feel safe in restrooms and locker rooms.
  • Americans know that the system used to work, and they want to go back to that winning formula.

YES, there were warts that needed to be worked out. But, as a nation, we’ve overcome much of those, before the always exploitive democratic machine started leveraging those communities to expand their agendas that had absolutely nothing to with their struggle. Instead, they implemented a host of DEI or Climate Change initiatives that only negated all of the gains they’ve achieved over the past decades. Well done!

The bottom line? Democrats have a knack for taking the most radical positions imaginable. And thanks to their virtual monopoly as the gatekeepers of popular culture, they’ve managed to brainwash a lot of people into aligning with their whacked-out world view. What is transpiring now is that realization sinking in to them and they are feeling trapped by their previous statements/actions and the revelations of reality that is flooding over them like a tsunami.

With so many of the pillars of their temple already toppled, it doesn’t look very promising for them going forward. About their only remaining option is to try to
emulate the Animal Liberation Front (ALF), Earth Liberation Front, Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA), United Freedom Front (UFF),  Weather Underground Organization or best of all, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), where they could likely find their old robes and hoods somewhere in their basement storage spaces.

And, it’s already began:

However, the only results all those groups above realized, resulting from their violence, was long prison sentences so perhaps it would be easier to just take him out (again) – as sad and alarming as that realization is.

Legalized Press-titution

And now, today we learn that beginning in 2021 (what happened then?) there was over 8 million paid to Politico, NYT got 10s of millions of dollars, Thomson Reuters got 9 million, and that’s just the outer layers of USAID peeled back so far. It now seems quite apparent, those valuable institutions of “factual” information were all on the take – while censoring and silencing those who were truthful.

And their plan now?

“initial plans by the Democrats is to have their people at USAID hide the partisan funding under ‘unimpeachable initiatives.’ They will push back really hard on certain line items that on their face look like reasonable USAID expenditures and hide their political spending under these programs.”

That, and more calling for protests. I’ll let Ohio Democrat and former presidential candidate Tim Ryan tell it like it is:

Like clockwork, the response has been it is all misinformation – just more of the same BS we’ve had jammed down our throats for years. Only now, it emboldens those digging to dig deeper. And what they found was the government (the Biden administration) was purchasing bogus subscriptions to these media outlets at rates hundreds of times greater than the typical sale price.

What do you suppose they were getting for their investments?

The cutoff of those funds has already resulted in Politico missing their last payroll.

This will only get better!

This development is especially interesting, considering the discussion here about a year ago on this site, when I raised similar flags about media culpability.

We are now wading deep into the swamp and heads will soon be rolling. So much corruption that it’s hard to know where to begin, but this HAS to be addressed (beyond shutting it down) and folks need to be convicted and imprisoned!

I imagine that any day now, one of the “settlements” or rulings from the numerous lawsuits now being applied to the fraudsters in the MSM will be forcing them to read on the air:

“I am a proven liar who has lost any credibility I may have had. I lack integrity and am wholly responsible for my lack of journalistic ethics. My viewers need to be aware that this is not the first time I have acted this way, and it’s unlikely to be my last. Please understand that I WILL lie to you in future, and that nothing I state on the air can be accepted as being factual in any way. I seek to shape the opinions of you, the weak-minded and woefully uninformed that make up the overwhelming majority of my audience. Yes. I mean you, personally”.

I truly wonder how those weak-minded and woefully uninformed are feeling these days. It can’t be good.

You GO Girl(s)!

There is SO much happening these days, but this one (now resolved) is another promise made, voted in and promise kept. And I couldn’t be happier for them.

Many, many years (decades) ago, a bunch of us cocky high school jocks challenged the HS girls volleyball team to a match – thinking we’d easily show them who is superior.

Who were we kidding? The skill and determination of those girls shown through and we were soon humiliated by those skills and soundly trashed.

It’s sad to think that now, nearly 50 years later, that effort and determination can be negated by a dude, who couldn’t make it on HIS side of the gender divide, so decided he’d cross over to beating up and denying opportunities for those who have worked so hard for what they’ve achieved.

In what world, was that ever OK?

Hen-steria!

On our journey for a more perfect planet (and a desire for more eggs), we decided to add some more hens to our flock. Egg production has been down to 1-4 eggs/day out of 11 hens lately (which isn’t abnormal for this time of year). But when we feed 1 or 2 back to the flock in their feed each day, that doesn’t leave many for us. So now that we’ve got our current flock of 13 pretty much under control, it was time to expand.

Seeking to avoid another batch of auction birds, that are often factory hatched, typically received in poor health and are often bred specifically to produce fast out of the gate, but with little sustaining ability, we knew that now 2 years into it, we needed some new blood to keep up production.

In talking with others, we want to get to the point where we can just keep rotating new birds in and, for lack of a better term, cull the older “class” or group when their production drops. I am still not proficient processing them but each time it gets easier so will keep at it. None of these are “meat” birds so when “processed”, they’ll be destined for the freezer as future dog food.

Did you know…
The chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) is the closest living relative to the Tyrannosaurus rex of millions of years ago? Thankfully, their diminutive stature keeps them from preying on us. As of 2023, there were 26.5 BILLION chickens sharing this planet with us!

Anyway, we got a tip from a couple at church, who told us of a home breeder/brooder in Pomona (about 40 mins away), so we made contact and arranged a visit.

On Saturday, we ventured over and saw a virtual chicken heaven. Dozens and dozens of beautiful birds, all free ranged and healthy so we picked out 9 young hens to bring home.

After moving our existing flock to the back 2 coops/runs, we settled the new girls in the front coop/run, since it is the most secure. Besides the quarantining required when introducing new birds, we wished to keep the 2 randy roosters away from them while they acclimated to their new surroundings.

Unfortunately, we quickly learned that area wasn’t as secure as we thought. Within 2 hours in their new home, a new arrival hopped over the entry gate and was free ranging in the yard. We managed to capture it and return it. Then, we added a barrier above the gate to prevent future escapes – or so we thought.

Live and learn. Within an hour, we had another escapee. This one was difficult to catch and ended up squirting through our yard fence and buried herself in the vacant property next door which is thick with brush and thorns. After a futile effort of trying to retrieve her, we gave up and guessed she would be some other critters dinner that night. I continued to check the fence line throughout the afternoon, hoping I’d see her again, but, there were no signs of her.

However at dusk, when we were putting the rest of the flock to bed, I glanced out at the driveway in front of the house and saw her pacing back and forth at that fence trying to get back into the yard. It was quite a happy reunion. We opened the gate and got her back inside, and returned her to her mates in the coop. This one will be named Emelia (Earhart) for her uncanny ability to disappear.

Lessons learned?

  • All of the 9 new birds had a wing clipped – although, this doesn’t seem to deter much. It may disturb their attempts to fly (straight) but doesn’t seem to inhibit their ability for the short leaps needed to scale the gate.
  • I literally had to turn their run into a fortress. It is already covered with bird netting to deter eagles and vultures but the flimsy lattice I initially added above the gate was reinforced so they no can longer jump up into it and have it bend forward (and down) so they can escape. After making the modifications, we enjoyed watching them leap against it – only to be rejected/bounced back into the run with no more flex to assist their escape.

We are hoping they’ll eventually give it up and figure out the best place for them is right where they are now. In a week or 2, we’ll open the internal gate (between the runs) and they can enjoy the whole barn yard with the rest of the flock. It’s always interesting to watch how the (now 20) hens sort out their pecking order.

We’ll see how that goes but we got 8 eggs today!

Week 2 Review – WOW!

Have you ever worked on writing something but the subject keeps changing so fast you never get around to hitting the send/publish button? It’s been nonstop revision/addition/revision/addition for 2 weeks now and every day brings a new and pleasant surprise as another narrative is absolutely destroyed. I’ve already had to change the title from a 1 week review to 2 weeks, just trying to keep up.

I started these thoughts shortly after the election. It’s a daily reflection of the amazement I’ve felt since then at how completely out of touch some continue to be regarding the results. To me, the only surprise was the degree of success so what follows is an interpretation from my side of sanity.

In all of this, I’ve credited actual authors in most places but am also certain that I
missed some here and there that you can nail me with a future plagiarism charge if I ever decide to run for office – and happen to be on the wrong side of the party in power. 😉

Beyond the total sweeping victories, the wonderment continues with the new administration continually remaining several moves ahead of the panic stricken democrats – as the fallout rains down through the first weeks of the new term.

It seems the resistance car ran off the road, hit a tree and is lying upside down in a ditch with its wheels spinning. However, they STILL think they are right by refusing to own their previous actions and remain entrenched on their thrones, jamming the pedal by issuing more insults.

All they can do is continue wailing about a perceived threat or insult resulting from Trumps common sense approach to matters. A recent outrage was his reply to a reporter asking him if he was going to visit the helicopter/jet collision site on the river. Beyond the fact that it is a river and there is nothing to visit, I’ll let a local fireman/first responder down here translate for these poor lost souls who think virtue signaling still matters more than effective leadership.

What wasn’t said but is understood by anyone who thinks clearly is what gain would there be to visit the river now during rescue/recovery? The security alone for a presidential “photo op” (along with the gaggle of press hoping he messes up with an obscure Nazi gesture) would be hugely disruptive to those on the ground (or in the water) during their haste to recover bodies and gather evidence. I wouldn’t be surprised if those responders will some time in the future be invited to a white house dinner to show the nations appreciation but for now, LET THEM DO THEIR DAMN JOBS!

As I’ve previously stated I’m not a rabid Trump fan. That hasn’t kept me from acquiring the MAGA extremist label – several times now for sharing a difference of opinion and refusing to bend the knee.

My offenses? Daring to suggest that Hunters laptop was real, wasn’t Russian disinformation and the 51 intelligence agents should be charged for greatly impacting a presidential election, for saying Biden’s obvious decline into the depths of dementia was endangering this country, for stating that COVID vaccines were killing otherwise healthy people and did NOT stop the spread of COVID but instead increased it, for saying the J6 incident was at the very least helped along by implanted FBI or other bad actors, for claiming Harris was an illegitimate candidate that never received a single primary vote.

You get the picture. I could go on but there is no point. They STILL unbelievably claim that their statements “happen to be rooted in facts”, if you can believe it.

Instead, we are now getting a tsunami of releases proving otherwise.

In truth, I can’t stand listening to Trump but have the wherewithal to recognize he was exactly what we needed to blow up and dismantle the deep state strangle hold on our government officials. That revelation is now being proven each and every day. Even with that, his accomplishments in these first weeks in office have been stunning and has gone well beyond what I believed was possible.

It started out with a boom and the booms just got louder as the week(s) progressed. You could immediately tell that this time, his administration was ready and had the right people in place to make it happen – unlike previously when he tried to “get along” with them. Those that opposed were swiftly dealt with, and/or replaced with others that actually follow the laws already in place.

What a difference having an (actual) ACTIVE president taking charge and wearing everyone else out – as opposed to hiding out on the beach nearly half the time ignoring all of harm he has inflicted on this nation.

THE ELECTION HAD CONSEQUENCES
Before we delve into those accomplishments, let’s review the election or more specifically, a critique of those who are unable to fathom how they lost to a racist Nazi felon.

I really expected some introspection in these post-election days.

Just a little bit of “how could I have been so wrong?” would be appropriate right about now. You would think realizing that things were NOT as you imagined them while inside your echo chamber would trigger such a response. Especially after predicting a blue wave because everyone you knew was in agreement and the media confirmed it at every turn.

The Democrats didn’t simply wake up to a red wave on election night. They saw it coming, months, if not years before the polls closed. The warning signs were blaring, yet their responses were constrained by internal contradictions and were a massive miscalculation of their own base’s discontent with what transpired the past few years”.
Read full critique.

So obviously, things haven’t gone as expected.

However, if everything goes the way I expect (Harris wins, Trump claims victory, small skirmishes of violence break out but are quickly squashed), then I will happily resume cordial interactions with any MAGA-supporting acquaintances or family, with that lovely “told you so” hanging in the air.

That hasn’t set well with the defeated AT ALL as they dust off the trusty and always reliable “Nazi” accusations for the umpteenth time.

Besides being a label affixed to EVERY Republican candidate dating back the 60s with Barry Goldwater’s campaign, this is a topic that the Babylon Bee was making fun of 7 months ago!

It also turned out to be the democrats big, breaking 11th hour October Surprise! Demonstrating they’ve learned absolutely nothing from those failed campaigns, they are now trying it YET AGAIN! So, expect Trumps approval to soar even higher, just as other time they’ve tried to jam this fairy tale down everyone’s throats with little to NO buy in from an ever increasingly skeptical public.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
It will be difficult to compile everything as each day brings new surprises but there are some major immediate wins:

  • Immediate border security re-established (per existing laws) with resumption of the border wall construction.
“Border Patrol recorded just 582 illegal crossings at the border yesterday,… the numbers have been falling off a cliff since Trump took office.”
Biden’s gaslight excuse? “I’ve done all I can do. Just give me the power. Give me the border patrol. Give me the people. The judges. Give me the people who can stop this and make it work right.”
  • Capture and rapid expulsion/deportation of criminal illegal immigrants.
  • After denying the plight of over 300,000 children “lost” at the border, with excuses that they simply “misplaced” them, more than 80,000 have already been located and saved from further abuses or trafficking in the sex trade.
  • Rather than deny the illegal criminal gang activity taking over apartment complexes in multiple cities, he promptly and efficiently allowed for the capture of a majority of their members and immediately deported them.
  • The especially dangerous criminals (that no one wants back) to now be housed at GITMO in a facility long since designed for that purpose but never used.
  • Swift, decisive and effective actions towards those opposing those efforts.
  • Revoking of security clearances for all of the spooks who tried to insinuate that the Hunter laptop story was Russian misinformation – in order to severely impact the highly contested 2020 presidential election.
  • After months of neglect, visited 2 major disaster zones – reassuring victims that help has finally arrived after FEMA failures and Biden couldn’t be bothered to interrupt his time at the beach to make such a call.
  • In California, issued immediate EO’s and lobbied local officials to necessitate clean up as well as releasing immense reserves of water – previously wasted/diverted out to the sea. This idea was laughed at by the superior elitist’s when he mentioned it months ago and it’s already done.
  • First day orders to alleviate energy issues – restoring American dominance in the energy field, with lower costs for domestic consumers, as well as additional leverage on the world stage in implementing policy.
  • Multiple investigations being launched – all demanded by his supporters to uncover the shady deals of the past administration. THE TRUTH WILL FINALLY EMERGE! Those receiving the blanket pardons will all be required/mandated to testify. Being pardoned for their crimes, they cannot take the 5th and will be required to testify truthfully or will be subject to perjury or obstruction charges (that the pardons don’t cover) if they don’t.
  • Protections returned for legitimate female participants in women sports, with nearly unanimous support from all sides.
  • Protections returned for women in public restrooms and locker rooms.
  • After months of alarm bells on how disastrous Trumps tariff policies would be for this nation, we see multiple capitulations from those countries being called out to do their fair share. So far, Panama, Mexico and now Canada have realized Trump isn’t fooling around. So despite the alarms we heard predicted would happen, instead we see what true leadership looks like.

Despite constant disruption and delay, cabinet nominees ARE being approved. All (IMO) are immense upgrades from those holding those positions previously. One such example is this common sense message from the new Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, about ending the DEI failures in the military:

“one of the dumbest phrases in military history is ‘our diversity is our strength,’” Hegseth said. “Our diversity is not our strength. Our unity and our shared purpose is our strength.” – and DEI initiatives work against that unity and purpose by artificially putting unqualified people in roles based solely on their skin color or sexual orientation, rather than merit and excellence.

That’s a lot to be excited (or alarmed) about, depending on your level of comprehension but they haven’t even touched on the health/food/pharma issues yet that are sure to make more heads explode.

RESPONSE/ULTIMATUM
Through all that, the response from those soundly defeated has been about what you’d expect at this point. The voters failed – they didn’t. The new tact now suddenly seems to be for the TDS-afflicted to confront their non-TDS family and acquaintances with the threat of cutting them off if they fail to bend the knee. We’ve experienced it, heard from others going through it, and have seen multiple comments about it very recently. As those stories are conveyed, they all follow the same script, with the same shame and condemnation that by voting for the evil orange man, we’ve all knowingly and willingly voted in a known Nazi who will lock them all up until they can be lined up in front of a wall.

The surprising thing I am seeing is that in nearly every case, the issuer of such demands is soundly rejected, with the recipient of the threats stating “if that is the way they want it, so be it”. The reaction to that rejection appears to be surprise – as they typically use the tactic to get their way and at this point, it no longer works.

If it wasn’t so tragically destroying families and relationships, I’d say it’s comical to witness. About the only hope for these misguided souls is that the revelations emerging in the coming months may open their eyes to the many lies they’ve swallowed that set them down that long path to the irrelevance and ridicule they are experiencing now. Time will tell.

PROJECTION/PREDICTIONS
There are SO many of these that completely flamed out so I’ll limit it to the most glaring – even if those who predicted them refuse to own them now. First, let’s establish some context from a comment left here about the under handed Harris “nomination” without a single primary vote cast for her:

Candidate no one wanted or voted for? She literally has more support and endorsements (in less than a week) than any other candidate has ever had–ever. Your gullibility in believing lies you’re fed is absolutely astounding. I talk to other Democrats all the time and let me assure you, everyone I’ve talked to in the last week is absolutely unified, energized and thrilled that we finally have a candidate that can beat Trump by an even wider margin. They are grateful to Biden for putting his country ahead of his own ambitions and thankful that the Democratic Party realizes how important this moment is and is unifying behind one candidate.

Resulting in:

  • Republican Electoral College victory.
  • Republican sweep of every swing state.
  • Republican popular vote victory.
  • Republican Senate victory.
  • Republican House of Representatives victory.
  • Numerous down-ballot Republican victories.
  • INCREASED support for Trump from the following demographics:
    • Asians
    • Blacks
    • Hispanics
    • Whites
    • Males
    • Females
    • Ages 18-29
    • Ages 30-44
    • Ages 45-64
    • White college educated men
    • White non-college educated men AND women
  • Harris gains?
    • College educated women
    • Ages 65+

But, that’s not a mandate we are learning. because he only got 30% of ALL eligible voters – like dismal turnouts for elections here is a new thing.

They’re obsessing over facts and figures to marginalize Trump’s 2024 win while missing the point: They lost. Trying to take figures that illustrate where Democrats fell short to invent a moral victory narrative is why this party has run amok. There’s no accountability; they think they’re still right. They lost that privilege when Trump swept all the swing states and no matter how you do the math, the result is the same: Trump wins, and Harris loses.

In the meantime, we’ve learned that Republican favorability and affiliation is now at an all time high, while the same numbers for Democrats is an all time low. Seems, there’s not as much unity as previously thought so some recalibration is in order.

For the rest, let’s just refer back to their projections of what Trump would do if elected. They almost sound like conspiracies, don’t they?

“you continue to zero in on the most random points to make your case and it’s
truly embarrassing how easy it is to poke holes in your many vast conspiracies”

  • Arrest and jail all his opponents – including locking up contentious media.
  • Suspend the constitution and the Bill of Rights.
  • Suspend all elections and implement a dictatorship.
  • Cancel Social Security and Medicare.
  • End ALL abortions and outlaw all birth control.
  • Pretty much anything listed on the Project2025 platform that was decidedly NOT Trumps platform.

Exposing the lefts intentions is now like shooting fish in a barrel, as the receipts flow in from their past interactions – like this one justifying 4 years of hiding the man supposedly in charge from being exposed, with clear signs of rapidly advancing dementia shockingly revealed at each appearance.

We really don’t care if Biden’s memory is slipping, because we know that he is ultimately a competent leader who is supported by a competent VP and cabinet. Biden could be in a wheelchair using a speech device ala Stephen Hawking, and he would still have my vote. He could be replaced by a potted plant and the plant would have my vote… The fact that you don’t get it, that you don’t understand what a grave danger Trump is to our country does make you a MAGA extremist, so you’d better get used to the label. Anyone who still supports a second Trump term after seeing what he did during the first one and in the years afterward IS a MAGA extremist cult member. End of story.

The writer above is fond of “end of story“, “full stop” types of declarations, to be sure we all know of their superior standing as the final word on any matter, but yet seems to be unable to comprehend what really occurred that always seems to contradict those opinions.

It’s really just more of the same going forward where they’ll still need to resurrect and repeat their already debunked conspiracies to make their point because there is nothing legitimate left for them to stand on. The fact that many of their stances are the polar opposite of what they stated before is of little concern to them because the “threat to democracy” demands it.

  • He mocked the handicapped (but mocking those with vocal cord damage, Asperger’s and now Autistic software engineers is perfectly ok).
  • He called Nazi’s fine people – while their supporters protest by calling for the elimination of Israel and extermination of the Jews.
  • Inject bleach (was never said) – while thousands prematurely die from vaccine effects.
  • Bloodbath/Firing Squad/Ending elections/Suckers and Losers etc. etc. etc. In endless cases, once the story is fully disclosed, they just look silly and lose more credibility.
  • Presidents can’t use pre-emptive pardons to shield from liability – unless of course WE need to.
  • Believe all women – unless they are named Tara or Ashley.

The end result is ever increasing disgust with their “platform” as more and more awaken to the reality of what that platform was and actually DID to this nation. The fact that they refuse to see this only reinforces the argument that they only engage amongst themselves and look down and ridicule anyone who questions their ideology, no matter how valid.

From the critique of voters above:

“elites increasingly talk only to each other and come to believe that because there is consensus among them that that consensus is shared broadly…”

It seems that practice continues as they look over the smoldering ruins of their former “empire”, in trying to formulate a winning strategy going forward.

So, how is that been working out for you all so far? Not good?

Perhaps it’s a hint of that lovely “I told you so” hanging in the air.

Day 1: Notice a Difference?

Well, besides the fact that he hasn’t yet suspended the constitution, he hasn’t rounded up and imprisoned his enemies, journalists, or any Biden/Harris supporters or acted on any of the other many calamities we were warned would immediately happen if he got into office and our democracy remains intact.

Instead, we saw immediate Executive Order actions on a number of topics. All imperative actions for the betterment of our nation and ALL of them directly and immediately addressing promises he made to the American people.

NOW, instead of automatically expecting our clueless leader to hide out in the basement and avoid any scenarios that would require him to answer for his actions, then call a “lid” by 10am and retreat to the Delaware beach for another 4 day vacation, we get this:

Since I was out cutting trees today, I am still digesting all that was completed. All in all, it was an extremely impressive display of preparation, determination and clearly demonstrated what an effective administration can be. You may not agree on these actions but that is irrelevant. He was overwhelmingly elected to do what he said he would – and surprisingly, he actually is!

But I guess, not all of it was good.

“Democrats have been warning the American people for decades about this,” one analyst said. “They’ve warned that Republicans would put senior citizens out on the street. Now, we’re seeing it play out in real life. It’s sad.”
